CHICAGO — A 71-year-old man died after being stabbed during an argument in Englewood on the city's South Side late Saturday night, and Chicago police say a male suspect is in custody.

Police say the two men were arguing around 10:15 p.m. in the 100 block of West 63rd Street when the offender produced a sharp object and stabbed the 71-year-old man. The victim sustained a puncture wound to the abdomen and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Meanwhile, police say responding officers took the offender into custody. Detectives are investigating the incident, and charges are pending.
