CHICAGO (WGN) — A 26-year-old man was killed Friday evening in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side, police say.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the man was in a parking lot in the 0-100 block of West 79th Street just before 7 p.m. when two unidentified suspects approached and opened fire.

The victim was struck by the gunfire in the head and shoulder and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and detectives are still investigating.
