THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Bronx man accused of holding his mother at knifepoint and threatening to kill her was indicted Monday, District Attorney Darcel Clark announced.

34-year-old Daniel Ribustello is accused of holding a knife around the neck of his mother, 61, on May 1. He allegedly told responding NYPD officers he was going to kill her before a cop shot him once.

“This was a frightening situation for the victim who had a knife to her throat. An NYPD officer shot and wounded the defendant, ending the standoff,” Clarke said.

Ribustello was indicted on multiple charges, including unlawful imprisonment, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is due back in court in October.
