A Mercedes A220 was seized near Coventry as police made a shock discovery about its driver. Members of Warwickshire Police's Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) intercepted the car on A46 in Stoneleigh.

The team reported that the vehicle was subject to an 'Operation Tenacity' report as it had been identified as committing multiple speeding offences across Warwickshire . Having stopped the car, they quizzed the driver.

It was discovered that the driver, who has not been identified, had been the owner of the vehicle since May. However, they had failed to register the vehicle in their name
