Gilbert woman pens inventive memoir of late husband

Deborah Medina Gach’s life has taken a series of serendipitous turns, bringing her love, purpose and grief in equal measures.

The Gilbert resident owns a tequila company and brand, Señor Rio Tequila, which she founded with her late husband Jonathan Gach in 2007, importing the first batch of the tequila from Mexico to Gilbert in 2009.

Today, with famed film and TV actor Joe Mantegna as her partner in the business, Gach has focused her entrepreneurial skills on giving back to the community through the We Care Crusade, a nonprofit she heads to help children and families with special needs.

Gach donates a portion of the proceeds from Señor Rio to her nonprofit and others in the Valley.
