KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A South Dakota man arrested on Interstate 80 for drug and weapons crimes now faces charges in federal court.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said a federal grand jury indicted 46-year-old Joshua Hollum for possession with intent to distribute 50 or more grams of methamphetamine and with use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime.
Buffalo County court records show a state trooper arrested Hollum in February on I-80 near Gibbon after his car hit another vehicle. After the arrest the trooper found a loaded gun with an extended magazine. He also found nearly a pound of meth and smaller amounts of cocaine, marijuana and heroin.
The trooper said Hollum told him he’d picked up the drugs in Julesburg, Colo. and had used the gun in previous drug deals.
