LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The Perseid Meteor Shower won't peak until the second week of August, but there are a couple meteor showers this week you might have a better chance of seeing.

Two that will peak Tuesday night into Wednesday are the Southern Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids.

For those in Kentucky and southern Indiana, chances of seeing the two showers Tuesday night are higher as skies will be mostly clear.

However, the two showers are mainly visible in the southern hemisphere, so you will need to be looking due south if you want to catch the meteor showers.

Both showers will be best seen after midnight and before dawn, according to the American Meteor Society. They suggest going outside and giving yourself at least 30 minutes or longer to adjust to the darkness, as this wil
