LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A wanted felon has been arrested who Louisville Metro Police said abandoned his baby during a traffic stop .

Christopher Morris was arrested Saturday, Aug. 9 after police said he ran away from officers during a July 3 traffic stop.

Instead of stopping, police said Morris sped off and abandoned his car at Village West. His four-month-old child was still inside it.

LMPD officers said they found Morris hiding in a closet when they made the arrest.

Police say Morris faces a long list of charges and has been booked into Louisville Metro Corrections.
