OWEN COUNTY, Ky. —

The Louisville man shot in Owen County early Saturday morning has died, according to Kentucky State Police.

Around 2 a.m., KSP responded to a shooting near the Monterrey community.

When they got there, troopers found 26-year-old Jamar Douglas unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was flown from the scene to University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, KSP reported that Douglas was pronounced dead of his injuries at 1:11 a.m.

KSP's preliminary investigation showed that Douglas was shot by 52-year-old Gary Bullion of Carroll County.

Bullion was arrested and charged with attempted murder and drug-related offenses.

The attempted murder charge has now been upgraded to murder.
