LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The man charged in the incident Friday that shut down much of a neighborhood in Lyndon was sentenced last year to 14 years in prison for similar crimes.
Armond Langford, 32, was to be arraigned in court Saturday morning at 9 a.m., but he refused to leave the jail and appear at his hearing. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
Langford is accused of invading a woman’s home, taking her car with her and her children inside, and then heading to the PNC Bank near Oxmoor Center to demand cash. He was arrested Friday afternoon.
According to court docs, in July 2024, Langford was sentenced to 14 years in prison and was probated for five years, leading to his release.
Those charges included a first-degree burglary charge and 19 second-degree robbery charges.
