CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Thousands of police officers, family members, and community members are arriving at Rocket Arena Wednesday morning for the funeral of fallen Lorain Police Officer Phillip Wagner.

Phillip Wagner died last week after he and another officer were ambushed as they ate pizza during their lunch break.

What to know before the funeral

The funeral will be at Rocket Arena at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The services are open to the public and doors will open at 10 a.m. All guests are subject to Rocket Arena’s safety protocols , including bag checks and security screenings.

Community members should take Rocket Arena’s Cliffs Entrance at the corner of Huron Road and East 6th Street.

Lorain Police said drivers should park at the East Gateway Parking Garage at 650 Huron Road
