Two mosquito pool samples collected last week from the 700 block of West Park Avenue in Pleasantville and the 600 block of Kingsley Avenue in Ventnor have tested positive for West Nile virus, Atlantic County officials said.

The county collected a previous positive sample July 9 in Linwood . This marks the second and third cases of the virus found in mosquitoes in the county.

No human cases of the virus have been detected, and the county is conducting mosquito surveillance and implementing additional control measures, county health officials said Wednesday in a news release.
