NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Ground delays have been issued at John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport due to thunderstorms, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Some arriving flights are experiencing delays of up to two and a half hours, while departures are experiencing delays of up to an hour and a half, according to the FAA.

Travelers are urged to check with their airline to see if their flights have been affected.
