REHOBOTH BEACH – After a fortuitous call in the late 1980s led to a decades-long career for one of Rehoboth Beach’s most notable business leaders, Carol Everhart is now preparing for retirement as she looks to her own future.
Everhart announced on July 8 she would retire from the top job at Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, concluding a 36-year career. In her role as CEO and President of the chamber, she served as the chief marketer for Delaware’s beach region that draws thousands of visitors each year. The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce has the largest membership of all Delaware chambers, according to Delaware Business Times records.
