The flooding of the Apure and La Portuguesa rivers has impacted more than 14.000 families in the municipalities of Esteros de Camaguán and San Jerónimo de Guayabal in the state of Guárico.
Recently, more than 5.000 families have suffered the effects of the rains in Guayabal, adding to the more than 9.000 families facing flooding reported in recent days in Camagüey.
Governor Donald Donaire reported that the flooding of the rivers has also caused the interruption of the road connecting the parishes of Guayabal and Cazorla, specifically at the community of Médano Alto, requiring immediate intervention.
