MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Vibrant Arena’s Executive Director was fired earlier this month, after being charged with his third OWI.

In a letter to Executive Director Scott Mullen, the Illinois Quad City Civic Center Authority said he was being terminated for breaking his employment agreement by not fully reporting to the board all his charges for operating while under the influence. All of which, officials said, happened in a company car.

He has a pretrial conference scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12.

February 2024, Dubuque County, Iowa:

Operating while under the influence, 2nd offense

Possession of Cannabidiol, 1st offense

Mullen pleaded guilty to both charges in May 2024, according
