THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A man was badly beaten with a baseball bat while breaking up a fight between two strangers on a Bronx street last week, police said Thursday.
The 31-year-old victim was attacked while deescalating the fight near 111 East 175th St. in Morris Heights just before 1 a.m. on July 25, according to the NYPD.
The good Samaritan was hit with the bat in the face multiple times and suffered severe head and facial fractures, cops said. He was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction, police said. There have been no arrests.
