BALTIMORE —

Dozens of youths attended a special camp for kids with diabetes this week.

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, 95 children and teenagers are attending Camp Charm City , led by doctors and medical professionals who specialize in diabetes care.

The camp's organizers said the youths can enjoy a fun, safe and supportive summer camp experience at the only Baltimore-area day camp dedicated to children and teenagers living with type 1 diabetes. The campers participate in sports, rock climbing, swimming, arts and crafts, games and other activities that help them learn to thrive while managing diabetes, organizers said.
