MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A Germantown man is being held without bond after police said he threatened to kill his 9-year-old son while holding him at knifepoint.
The charges against the 47-year-old man stem from a domestic disturbance report that Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) authorities received shortly before 10:15 p.m. on July 26.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 19900 block of Stoney Point Way to investigate a call about a man threatening to kill his child.
MCPD spoke with family members and tried to de-escalate the situation, while also attempting to communicate with the man.
When they entered the home, police said the man went into the kitchen and held a large knife to his 9-year-old son. Officers ordered him to drop the knife, but he refuse
