MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A motorcyclist is dead after they were involved in a crash with another vehicle in Montgomery County on Saturday night, according to police.

Details surrounding the collision are limited; however, Montgomery County police said officers responded to the crash near the 22000 block of New Hampshire Ave. just after 6:15 p.m.

The motorcyclist, who authorities have not publicly identified at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other involved vehicle sustained minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital, police noted.

As a result of the crash, officials closed New Hampshire Avenue between Sapling Ridge Lane and Georgia Avenue.
