ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A York County man recently won $180,000 after he said he played the same lottery numbers for two decades.
The winner reportedly bought his lucky Palmetto Cash 5 ticket from the Flying J on Mount Holly Road in Rock Hill.
“It feels great,” the man said. “It couldn’t have come at a better time.”
South Carolina Education Lottery officials said the odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 850,668.
“Oh yeah, I’m still playing them,” he said when asked about the numbers. “The following week I won $25.”
Flying J reportedly received a $2,920 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
It wasn’t immediately clear how much the winner took home after taxes.
