FAIRFAX, Va. — A street race between Lamborghini and Tesla Cybertruck drivers has led to jail time and a fine for a Sterling man.

According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano, 38-year-old Carlos Montero was sentenced to 90 days in jail for using his Lamborghini to race a Cybertruck in October 2024. However, a judge suspended 85 days of that jail sentence and imposed a fine of $1000, with $250 suspended, for the reckless driving charge, and an additional $200 for a highway traffic infraction.

The driver of the Cybertruck, identified as 48-year-old Christian Camacho, was convicted alongside Montero for misdemeanor reckless driving on March 24. Camacho was also scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, but his hearing was continued until August.
