A Derby mum has shared her and her husband's seven-year struggle to have a second child after a 10cm cyst was missed by medics. Michaela Warner and her husband, David, from Alvaston , were repeatedly told by doctors that nothing was wrong with them and that they were simply putting too much pressure on themselves to grow their family .

Only after going to a private clinic run in Sandiacre was a 10cm dermoid cyst discovered. It had destroyed one of her fallopian tubes, leaving Michaela stunned as she had not experienced any pain or issues. The cyst had spread to her bowel and appendix, with staff at the clinic estimating she had only a three per cent chance of conceiving naturally.
