FORT MILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Public schools in Fort Mill will not have traffic guards during the upcoming school year, a district spokesperson confirmed this week.
spokesperson Joe Burke said the changes come after the third-party provider who previously performed the duties said they would no longer be able to offer the service.
“They will still be able to continue to provide crossing guards at painted and properly signed crosswalks, but they will not be able to provide traffic guards anymore to our district, which would help control the flow of traffic in and out of our schools,” Burke said.
