HARTFORD, Conn. (KTRE) - Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon threw two perfect innings of relief in Reading’s 11-0 loss to Hartford on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old righthander entered the game in the fifth inning and retired the side in order. In the sixth inning, he got the first batter to strike out before retiring the next two on a groundout and popout.
McMillon needed just 19 pitches over the two frames and threw 12 strikes. He lowered his ERA to 5.40.
The Fightin Phils (37-59) are in sixth place in their division. They continue the series against the Yard Goats on Friday.
