FARGO — Thousands of people are making their way to Fargo to enjoy a shared love of the blues.

The Fargo Blues Festival kicked off at Newman Outdoor Field on Friday, Aug. 1.

The two-day experience features 13 bands and performers in 2025.

People of all ages are filling the outfield to watch each of the festival’s shows, listening to some of the best blues performers in the region and nation.

Festival organizers say the popularity of blues in Fargo grows with every performance.

“Fargo’s not really known for the blues. And when we’ve been doing this for 30 years, I think we’re starting to get a little — we’re getting a little talk. People are talking about us, you know, and we always want to bring a good time here. And who doesn’t like a good blues on a Friday afternoon or Saturday?” sa
