RIDGEFIELD — Success on the mound is often defined by working ahead in the count and consistently throwing strikes.

By those benchmarks, Max Fraser has established himself as one of the most effective Ridgefield Raptors pitchers this season.

The Oregon State product and Camas High alumnus picked up his third win of the season Friday by tossing six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and three hits allowed, helping the Raptors to a commanding 18-3 win over the Walla Walla Sweets at Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex.

Fraser has allowed just one earned run over his last three starts in 18 innings combined, and has the fourth best strike percentage (2.48) among all West Coast League pitchers.
