BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — The father of the accused Apalachee High shooter appeared in court for a hearing on Friday. Colin Gray's court hearing coincides with Apalachee students heading back to the classroom for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Colin Gray is accused of providing the weapon used by his son, Colt Gray, in the Sept. 4, 2024, shooting that left two students and two teachers dead . Colin Gray is facing a total of 29 charges, including murder in the second degree and cruelty to children in the second degree.

During the hearing, a judge heard arguments over whether Colin Gray had voluntarily given investigators consent to search his home and his phone after the Apalachee High shooting took place.
