TAKOMA PARK, Md. — Family-owned bookstore People's Book in Takoma Park says it has donated more than $7,000 from the sale of US Sen. David McCormick (R-PA)'s book, "Who Believed In You," to immigrant advocacy organization CASA. Co-owner Matt Bormet says the money will be used to protect working-class immigrant families under attack by McCormick and the Trump administration.

“Senator McCormick’s lobbyists asked us to buy 500 copies of his recently published book . While we don’t want to be in business with someone who is partially responsible for the current crisis, we also don’t support banning books. So we filled the request.
