The Virginia Department of Transportation held a public forum in Nelson County last week, informing residents of completed, in progress and future road projects along U.S. 29.
Christopher Winstead, VDOT Lynchburg district engineer, spoke to residents previously at a Nov. 7, 2024, meeting. He said last week it is important for residents to communicate concerns they have regarding roadways so VDOT can work with the community to find solutions.
"It’s invaluable to hear directly from people who live and breathe here all the time," he said.
