TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two systems in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North Carolina that could potentially become a tropical storm in the next few days.
According to the NHC, a non-tropical area of low pressure has formed, bringing a 30% chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next two days.
"An area of low pressure is expected to develop off the Carolina coast, which does have a 30% chance of development, but will move into the Atlanti,c and any storm that does form will beshort-livedd," said WFLAmeteorologistt Eric Stone. "A tropical wave is forecast to move off the African coast and has the potential to develop further next week as it moves northwest and is not expected to impact the United States."
