Fall River Route 79 corridor work sets up traffic changes

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — As the Massachusetts Department of Transportation continues to work on the Route 79-Davol Street corridor improvement project, this morning will see a new change for Lindsey Street in Fall River.

As of this morning, traffic will only be able to drive northbound on Lindsey Street.

MassDOT also closed the right turn off of 79 northbound to Brownell Street.

MassDOT has been working since 2019 to make the Route 79-Davol corridor more available to other forms of transportation, like biking.
