WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 59-year-old Watertown man is facing charges after allegedly hitting his neighbor with a wooden club last week.

According to the Watertown Police Department, Edward Howarth III allegedly got into an argument on the morning of Friday, August 1 on Elm Street in the city.

Authorities said that an disagreement escalated and Howarth allegedly struck a person with a wooden club. The neighbor's wrist was allegedly injured during the altercation. Howarth also suffered minor injuries in the dispute.

Howarth was charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
