For the eighth straight year, Georgia football is ranked in the top 5 in the preseason.

The Bulldogs checked in at No. 4 in the preseason US LBM coaches Top 25 poll released on Monday Aug. 4. Georgia was preseason No. 1 each of the last two years.

Georgia ended that season as national champions. The Bulldogs finished last season at No. 6 in the coaches poll.

The teams above Georgia in the preseason poll are No. 1 Texas, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Penn State, with Notre Dame right behind the Bulldogs at No. 5.
