BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – It’s unclear when the Clark Street subway station will reopen after a large concrete and steel awning collapsed outside, New York City Transit President Demetrius Crichlow said.
No. 2 and No. 3 trains are not stopping at Clark Street Monday afternoon, according to the MTA. In a news conference Monday, Crichlow said he has “no answers” on when the station will reopen.
“I don’t have enough answers to feel comfortable that our customers are being served,” Crichlow said. “We do not have access to the station and I don’t have an answer as to when that is going to be.”
The entrance and mezzanine are privately owned, and city officials have reported issues getting repairs completed by the owners, Crichlow said.
