A husband and wife who own a Martha’s Vineyard property and a well-known Tennessee whiskey distillery responded this weekend to a lawsuit from their lender trying put their business into receivership, blaming the dispute on the company's former chief financial officer.
Fawn and Keith Weaver, who own Nearest Green Distillery Inc., maker of the Uncle Nearest whiskey brand, filed a response Sunday to a lawsuit from the company's lender, Farm Credit Mid-America of Louisville, Ky.
