MORGANTON, N.C. — A 33-year-old Morganton woman was arrested Thursday afternoon for breaking into multiple vehicles at a NC DMV Driver's License Office, just three hours after being released from jail.

Kayly Allman was taken into custody after officers with the Morganton Department of Public Safety responded to assist the North Carolina State Highway Patrol with a breaking and entering call at 115 Government Drive. NCSHP was initially notified by a victim before requesting assistance from local law enforcement.

According to authorities, Allman broke into three vehicles in the DMV parking lot: a blue Hyundai Santa Fe that was occupied at the time, a blue Ford Mustang, and a black Hyundai Elantra. During the incidents, she reportedly stole and smoked a cigarette, stole and ate a Debbie c
