Warming Bernabel is burning hot.

Bernabel, a Rockies rookie infielder, was named National League Player of the Week Monday. He was joined by American League honoree Trevor Story of the Red Sox.

Bernabel is the first Rockies player to win the award since Brenton Doyle on July 8, 2024. Bernabel made his MLB debut on July 26 of this season.

The 23-year-old Dominican Republic native hit .462 with two home runs, seven RBI, four doubles, a triple, five runs scored and a .923 slugging percentage across six games. He tied for the MLB lead with seven extra-base hits and 24 total bases. He tied for second in hits and doubles and his OPS ranked third. His batting average ranked third.
