ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A patient was left with serious injuries after investigators said an Orlando woman who was working at a medical spa botched her chin surgery.
The woman who authorities said is responsible, Gabriela Pereira, 29, didn't have a medical license, and is now facing 20 felony charges, according to reports by NBC affiliate WESH.
Detectives said the patient visited Tonya Beauty Medical Spa on Park Center Drive in Orlando in 2024 for an endolaser treatment.
Felipe Mavromatis, an attorney representing the patient, told WESH that she went to the spa trusting they were "going to do a good job," but was instead left with burns and blisters.
