SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — After making the playoffs last season, the Grape Creek High School football team is pushing to make even more noise in the 2025 season.

Grape Creek finished 4-7 last year and finished in a three-way tie for second place in District 6-3A behind state semifinalist Wall. The Eagles lost in the first round of the playoffs.

Tanner Thiel is entering his eighth season as the Eagles' head coach and most of his assistants have been with him for years, so the team has continuity on its side.

The Eagles have six returning starters on offense and five on defense.

Senior running back Sire Garcia finished with 1,349 yards of total offense last season. He will be joined in the backfield by senior Braley Woods, who is taking over as the starting QB.
