A truck became wedged under the ceiling of a busy Boston tunnel Monday evening, briefly snarling traffic.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said the left lane closed in the Sumner Tunnel when a truck that was too tall got stuck just after 6 p.m.

As crews responded, the tunnel was fully closed to traffic at 6:18, MassDOT said. It reopened at 6:33.
