A groundbreaking recently was held for a new affordable housing project in the Roseland area of Nelson County.
Nelson County Community Development Foundation (NCCDF) announced The Roseland Apartments will be built on a five-acre parcel off St. James Church Road. NCCDF, a nonprofit, owns the site, which allows the development to move forward efficiently and effectively, according to a news release.
“This exciting development features three modular duplex apartments ultimately creating six affordable two-bedroom rental units for Nelson County families,” the release said.
B&B Contractors, a local builder, is providing the modular duplexes and Asset Enterprises, a local contractor, will do the excavations, foundations and finish work on the duplexes, according to NCCDF.
