Improvements to the concrete path along the lower trail at Riverfront Park are coming along. The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department says the improvements will enhance accessibility, safety, and the overall visitor experience.

Recent inclement weather has brought some delays, and as a result the north end of Riverfront Park (4122 River Drive) will remain closed a little longer and is now scheduled to reopen on Saturday, August 23.

During the closure, the Parks and Recreation Department encourage visitors to enjoy other nearby parks and trails, including the south end of Riverfront Park (312 Laurel Street), Granby Park (100 Catawba Street), and the Saluda Riverwalk (650 Candi Lane).
