WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- State troopers blocked off lanes on Interstate 70 in Washington County after a disabled tractor-trailer caught fire on Tuesday morning.

Maryland State Police (MSP) told DC News Now that around 2 a.m. on Aug. 5, troopers responded to I-70 East, near US-40, for the disabled truck.

Their preliminary investigation revealed that the truck was hauling apples when the fire started.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

As of Tuesday morning, two lanes on the highway remained closed.
