CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Rain was moving through the Charlotte region on Tuesday, and more rain was likely in the days to come.

Showers were widespread across the center of North Carolina on Tuesday, Aug. 5, especially in the Charlotte area. The region could see up to 1.5 inches of rain by the end of the day, according to our First Alert meteorologists .
