LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A downtown Lexington staple is closing after 30 years of business.

CD Central, one of Lexington's last remaining independent record stores, announced on Tuesday, Aug. 5, that it'll be closing its doors for the last time in early September.

"I will have a lot more to say about our 30-year run in the weeks to come, but right now I think it's important to mention that the decision to sell the store is for personal reasons, not financial," the store wrote on Facebook.
