GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting three people in connection with a multi-location dog fighting ring.
Deputies report the Animal Control responded to a complaint about barking dogs and concerns regarding their welfare on June 12.
Investigators with the sheriff’s office joined the investigation due to the severity of the situation. Officials discovered mistreatment of a large number of dogs from Holland Road in Simpsonville and White Circle and Gantt Drive in Greenville, according to deputies.
A father and son, along with their friend, were arrested after 35 dogs and six puppies were seized during the investigation, deputies said.
Deputies report Jamie Greer, 45, and Jhamual Greer were both charged with 17 counts of ill treatment
