ARLINGTON, Va. — Police in Arlington are investigating after more than a dozen cars were broken into and rummaged through Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the 900 block of S. Lincoln Street just before 6 a.m. An investigation found that during the overnight hours, someone forced their way into seven cars in a parking garage by smashing windows. They also got into an eighth vehicle. Police say property, cash and electronics were stolen from five of the cars, varying in make and model.
Less than a mile away, in the 900 block of S. George Mason Drive, police responded to another car break-in. The suspect or suspects forced their way into a car by smashing the car window and again rummaged through the vehicle, stealing personal items.
