A Broward judge dismissed a criminal case against Palm Beach County mega-developer Glenn Straub Tuesday, concluding that prosecutors had not tied the businessman himself to fraudulent liens his company filed against his ex-girlfriend to keep her from leaving him.
The high-profile criminal case against Straub, 78, the owner of Palm Beach Polo & Country Club in Wellington, had dragged on for years.
It began in 2017 when Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies recorded a call between Straub and his ex, Jessica Nicodemo, during which he admitted that he had filed liens against two of her Palm Beach County homes as leverage to get her to stay with him, according to a probable cause affidavit.
