FRONT ROYAL — After a summer plagued by heavy rains and weather delays, work on the Osage Street Habitat for Humanity homes has resumed.

Warren County Habitat for Humanity broke ground on the project, which includes a duplex and a single family home, in October 2024 with a goal of having the homes completed in a year.

General contractor Cody Warren of Warren Lee Construction said Thursday that progress has been slowed due to repeated, significant rainfall this spring and summer.

Warren said that the project relies completely on volunteer labor from area contractors who have seen their schedules and construction timelines shift repeatedly because of the weather.
